A - line dresses

A-Line gowns need little encouragement to do what they were designed to do. Falling from a natural waist, skimming the hips and floating to the floor, they are easy to wear and just made for dancing! An a-line gown like DREW keeps her shape with CLAIRE- a single bar hoop designed specifically for a-line gowns. Without CLAIRE an a-line gown with gather and fold. With CLAIRE an a-line gown will keep its shape from hip to hem and make that first dance a doddle.

Ball gowns really come into their own with the addition of a hoop. Depending on how vast the skirt of your ball gown is and how full you want it to appear, you can choose between a single bar- ideal for walking with ease, a double bar for fullness and a triple bar for serious volume. Some ball gowns however, will not accommodate a triple bar hoop so let’s explore a double bar hoop called SARAH… SARAH works best with a gown like DAVINA (pictured). Without SARAH a ball gown like DAVINA, though beautiful, will fall closer to the body than the traditional ball gown style dictates. With SARAH your DAVINA-esque gown will appear fabulously full and you’ll achieve that famous fairytale style.
