Congratulations to Sharon & Jeremiah

WEDDING DATE: 4th February 2017

Tell us about your love story!

They say it’s a small world and that’s true for our love story. We met online through a dating website and then soon found out we lived minutes from each other and had attended the same high school a year apart.

Late March 2015 we went for a drive up to Maleny to spend the day strolling through the little town. Unfortunately it rained most of the day and we were going to head home when suddenly the sun came out so Jeremiah decided we should go to the botanic gardens for a look around and enjoy a picnic lunch. During our nice picnic in the sunshine is where Jeremiah popped the question. And of course I said Yes!

Describe what marriage means to you.

It means finding that one special person that you want to spend the rest of your life with and make it official.

The wedding location.

We had both our ceremony and reception at Summergrove Estate. As soon as we saw the venue and the amazing views we both fell in love and booked the venue straight away.

The theme of your wedding.

To show off this amazing venue we chose soft summery pale pinks with a romantic feel. The reception included greenery with touches of gold and lace.

The bride’s dress.

My dress was a Mia Solano design, it was strapless and fitted through the bodice with a mermaid style bottom. The dress was covered with lovely lace details and a mixture of pearls and diamantés.

On seeing the dress Jeremiah seemed very pleased and later told me it was amazing and better than he ever imagined.

Wedding songs.

Walking Down Aisle: Over and Over Again – Landon Austin (acoustic)

Enter Reception: Forever – Chris Brown

First Dance: Tenerife Sea – Ed Sheeran

Food, food, food!

We had an amazing 3 course dinner which included prawns, chicken and steak. Dessert was our delicious wedding cake (caramel mud, white choc raspberry & carrot cake).

Most memorable moment.

Hearing the music start and sharing a moment with my mum and sister before walking in. The look on my husbands face as I walked down the aisle.

During our reception my husband and a groomsmen bumped our wedding cake and somehow my husband caught the cake and saved it from being destroyed before cutting it and eating it.

What about the extra details?

Unfortunately my dad wasn’t here to walk me down the aisle so I chose to have him and other lost loved ones on my bouquet to be with me during the wedding.
What’s the best advice you can give a bride and groom planning their wedding?

Don’t stress over all the details of the day. I stressed so much in the lead up to the day. However on the day I was thankfully very relaxed and calm. Enjoy the day as it goes far too quickly.

What do you look forward to most as Mr. & Mrs.?

Starting our next chapter in life together and creating many more amazing memories as husband & wife.
