Congratulations to Montana & Glen
WEDDING DATE: 30th July 2016
NUMBER OF GUESTS: 140
Tell us about your love story!
Glen and I met when we were at high school in grade 10. He asked me to be his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day with a Rose. After 5 years of dating he took me to Mount Cootha at midnight and asked me to be his wife.
What is the meaning of marriage to you?
Marriage to me means I found my best friend and we both wanted to spend together forever.
The wedding location.
We danced the night away with the green lawn under our feet and a million fairy lights above our head.
Glen and I got married in the church we grew up in. Our reception was quite special to us. We celebrated in a beautiful silk draped marquee, on Glen’s parents country property. We danced the night away with the green lawn under our feet and a million fairy lights above our head.
Our wedding theme was simple elegance with lots of lights. My grandmother who lives in the city of Adelaide is a wedding decorator. She has over 30 years experience in wedding decorating and made our wedding absolutely beautiful.
My dress was a beautiful beaded bodice, fitted to my waist with a full tulle skirt. To Glen it was all he imagined in a dress. He said it represented me perfectly.
Ceremony and reception.
Our ceremony was in our local church and as explained above our wedding was situated on glens parents beautiful country home.
Our wedding song was ‘I will never stop’ by safety suit ( the wedding version) we didn’t do a specific dance we took it moment by moment.
Food, food, food!
We catered our guests with a 3 course alternate drop. We got many comments after the wedding saying they had never had such good food catered at a wedding.
Most memorable moment.
I think the most memorable moment was that first glance when we both saw each other at the end of the aisle. I’ll never forget the look in his eyes.
What about the extra details?
My two sisters in law were in my bridal party and are makeup artists so they did all our makeup.
What’s the best advice you can give a bride and groom planning their wedding?
The best advice I can give to future brides and grooms is be grounded and know exactly what you want your day to look like. Always stick with your first thought. I had the wedding of my dreams because I had a clear picture of what I wanted and I surrounded myself with people around me who supported my ideas.
Love is patient, love is kind.
Did you have a videographer?
Videography by Bek Evans & Lachlan Woodward.
What do you look forward to most as Mr. & Mrs.?
Creating everlasting memories, and just enjoying our journey together.
