Courtneay & Josh

– Twin Creeks Country Club

WEDDING DATE: 17th October 2015

GUEST NUMBERS: 95

Courtneay and Josh’s first moments together as husband and wife was tucked away at Twin Creeks Country Club, commencing a lifelong journey of love and happiness.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR LOVE STORY:

We met 8 years ago, while we were both working at KFC actually. Dated for a few years, then bought a house, had our daughter Harlow who is now 2, and then Josh had taken me to the city for a night away (my 2nd night away from Harlow in 8 months) and we went to dinner and stayed at the Hilton. Later we walked in after dinner and the whole room was decorated in rose petals and wine and he got down on one knee and proposed! Of course I said yes! 🙂

WHAT DOES MARRIAGE MEAN TO YOU:

Marriage to me is a commitment between two people who have a strong love and bond and friendship!

THE WEDDING LOCATION:

I have always wanted a garden wedding, fell in love with the arbour at Twin Creeks Country Club at Luddenham. We hired a lady from By George events who came and decorated it all and it looked amazing! More then amazing it was PERFECT! Then we had our reception at the beautiful Le Montage to class it up!

THE THEME OF YOUR WEDDING:

No real theme as such just wanted and outdoor garden styled ceremony, with a classy elegant reception.

THE BRIDE’S DRESS:

Everyone would have guessed me to probably be in a princess dress with a big poofy skirt, but I tried loads on and they just didn’t suit, I think I may be too short for that style! I tried on this one dress A line styled, with all beaded work and a train and it looked amaze balls! It was light and fitted perfectly and the colour suited me so well. They had my size ready to go in the shop! It was just meant to be.

WEDDING SONGS:

Our first dance was Ed Sheeran, Thinking Out Loud

FOOD DETAILS:

We just picked the full alternate menu at Le Montage with a chicken and a lamb dish for mains.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT:

Watching our daughter walk down the aisle and running to Josh, (that made me cry.

TELL US ALL THE EXTRA DETAILS:

We had Brazilian dancers for our entertainment and they were fantastic! Everyone still raves on about how good they were and they really got everyone up and dancing. Highly recommend them!

WHAT’S THE BEST ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE A BRIDE AND GROOM PLANNING THEIR WEDDING?

Don’t do shots! Get a second photographer or tell him/her the good photos you want so they don’t miss them. I’m also 100% happy with changing my hair style to an updo last minute because it didn’t move at all and got so many compliments. 🙂

FAVOURITE LOVE QUOTE:

Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can’t change. Kiss slowly, play hard, forgive quickly, take chances, give everything. and have no regrets. Life is too short to be anything but happy!

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO MOST AS MR. & MRS?

Finally calling Josh my Husband 🙂 And the fact that I am the same surname as our daughter and now there is no confusion.
